Epic/High Fantasy
Vhalos, lost in his magic, watched as the spell swam into focus within his crystal ball. Images of his aspirations coming to life before him. The smokey pictures of what was to come flashed and filled with color as they blurred into existence. His hands gripped the crystal ball tighter, leaning in closer for a better look. “Where is she? I must find her.” The possibilities of his greatest triumph were within reach and he could already taste the sweetness of victory. If only he could find her...the key...She was the final ingredient missing from the universe bending to his will. He watched as the magic revealed the out-linings of the continent, closing in on a more prominent place. Lands passed by like time, getting ever closer to the final destination. Finally, his vision burst through a hazy sky, acreage, and landscapes pouring into view. Splotches of color took on more definite shapes, as it moved closer still. Forrest animals, big and small, taking shape, giving clues of location. There it was, an eagle eye view from Karlear Mountain, the place he sought--Forrest Keep.

Epic/High Fantasy
Death upon wings had descended from the stars setting everything ablaze. It was horrific to behold. Nothing was untouched by fire. Grand buildings, that once stood as inspiration and hope, now reduced to burning rubble crumbling to ash, crashing onto the ground burying everything in its path. Shops and houses exploded, propelling people like shrapnel into their neighbors and out among the bloody cobblestones. Bending trees, slamming the ground as an unnatural wind, commanded their will, spreading more flame and fanning the smoke. Evrah's throat burned from her unheard screams of terror as she pleaded and begged for the horror to stop, for her friends to find safety, and for her need to help. She paced like a caged animal, looking for a way around the burning tundra of chaos that blocked her way into the village. Her fists bled from beating the ground as she was forced to watch the devastation of her people. Screaming children lost, scared, and crying for the comfort and safety of their parent's protective arms. Parents and elderly clinging to their dead or searching in vain for lost loved ones. Wives, bent over still bodies of husbands and children, cursing the winged death above them. Husbands carrying lifeless bodies of wives, children, and elderly, in search of refuge. Some fell to the ground, while others staggered in confusion and fear, unsure of what to do. Many, lost in the madness of chaos, like headless chickens, ran about, searching for safety that wouldn't be found. The decimation of wings was only the beginning.Description- Copywrited
Christian Fantasy Fiction
Sea creatures of every kind and hue, jumping and swimming harmoniously with the next. Some danced along the waves, while others swam among the deep. A glorious teal blanket of waves, splashing with living color, lapped along the banks, playing hide and seek with the sand. A winding path from the ocean of life leads onto the lush and vibrant land. Trees taller than any statue ever built offered cool shade to life below its canopy. Vibrant feathers of every shade flew high above the grass, weaving in and out of the trees. Sweet songs echoed through the air floating among the breeze. Soothing sounds to the scurrying animals below. Both furry and hooved moved along the floor, frolicking under roots or grazing among the grass. The tiniest of those make a home among the bark or inside the blooms of varying colors.Action Scene- Published
Paranormal Romance
There, in the distance, was the target. One she hadn’t realized she had been hunting. She began to pace as she watched. It sauntered around, half hazard, unaware of what fate had in store. The prey, doing some hunting of its own. It watched, as {Name} did, to every move, took heed to every breath, and listened to the quickening heartbeat. One would be successful, the other would not. {Name} knew, she had to take care not to be seen, or noticed, so as not to spook her intended prey. Her big, padded feet, though heavy, made little noise as she stalked, planning her attack. She was close enough to smell the perfume, but not enough to reach out. Saliva fell from her fangs; she could already taste victory. She was close. It would be glorious. Vengeance and satisfaction, all rolled into one. Yes, the proverbial two birds with one stone. The little bird, planning her next move would finally be stopped.Dialogue - Published
Second Chance Romance
She got from the floor and waited. {Male} indicated for her to follow. One minute she was in her living room, next, she was standing in {location}. “Do you know where we are, {Female}?” She knew instantly. “Yes…” she pointed to the small cabin, now covered in snow. “That is our cabin.” {Male} smiled and shook his head, leading her closer to the little house. Inside the windows played flashes of memories of their life there; Intimate dinners, sarcastic arguments, family visits, and roasted marshmallows over a blazing fire. Years of life within a few seconds until it went dark. Fresh tears ran down her cheeks. “Why…’ she cried, “Why would you show me this? It only brings more pain.” “To remind you…” {Male} replied. “Of what? What have I lost? What I will never get back?” she choked out. “No, {female}. Look, what do you see?” “Darkness and pain.” She snapped. {Male} pointed back to the cabin, and once again, the house lit up with her life. Different memories this time. “What do you see when you look through those windows?” {male} asked softly. “I see what I’ve lost.” She turned away, crying. “I cannot stand to see it anymore, please turn it off.”
